Welcome to the Basel Art Center – Space 31

The Basel Art Center is an exhibition space that can be rented as an event location for art exhibitions, but also for other private, cultural or corporate events.

The Basel Art Center AG is an institution for contemporary art in Kleinbasel, which gives the up-and-coming art quarter between the Rhine and the trade fair an additional boost. As an inspiring oasis of creativity and cultural diversity, Basel Art Center-Space 31 has been a magnet for people from the region and Europe who want to explore and experience the world of art since it was founded in 2014.

The exhibition concept of Basel Art Center-Space 31 ranges from gallery to art gallery and also enables exhibitions of a museum nature. From painting, graphic art, sculpture, installation, photography, video art, new media, performance to interactive art and design, almost the entire spectrum of alternative visual art is represented in the exhibitions.

The Basel Art Center-Space 31 works together with other institutions. It also plans to collaborate with national and international institutions with the aim of building a network for exhibitions and education in order to further stimulate the discourse on art.

The Basel Art Center functions not only as a gallery and exhibition venue, but also as a platform for services. education, dialog and
creativity. Our events and programs offer opportunities for artistic exchange, discussions on contemporary issues and access to unique works of art that engage the senses and the mind alike.
