The Basel Art Center was founded in 2014 by gallery owner Matthias Rüthmüller at Riehentorstrasse, 4058 Basel.

After 10 years of existence, the team decides to start a new chapter and moves to a larger space at Rebgasse 31 in Basel. The street changes, but not the house number – Space 31 consists of a main hall, several additional rooms that can be rented and a large terrace with a view over the rooftops of Kleinbasel – perfect for picturesque vernissages
